The SSA has released the state-by-state allowance rates for fiscal year 2008. This is the percentage of initial claims that were granted by Disability Determination Services. For New Hampshire, 51.9% of initial claims were granted. This is down a bit from fiscal year 2007, when 55.2% of initial claims were denied.
If your claim is denied, you must appeal that denial by requesting a hearing by an administrative law judge within 60 days of receiving your denial letter.
